The Irresistible Revolution

I resisted. Shane doesn't like huge organized churches and he's seen a lot of hypocrisy in his lifetime. I understand that. I can also understand his reaction to the problem and even though I probably wouldn't do the same, I still think he is following God's call on his life.

This will appeal to certain people who grew up in the church and don't feel like they're lives are real enough. Although I don't condone everything that Shane does, I still pray for him and ask our Father in heaven to bless him. Before you join his cause, I would suggest you pray and ask God for direction. His calling is great if you have the calling, but trouble if God didn't call you there.

I still recommend this book. It's good to see how our brothers and sisters are called and serving and I love Shane's love for the poor and his passion to see justice. I just don't anyone to walk away thinking that they are not following God unless they do what he does.
